Around 5,000 years ago, the ancestors of the Austronesian peoples set sail from Taiwan, carrying their languages, cultures, and ways of life across the Pacific and Indian Oceans—connecting islands from Hawaii and Tahiti to New Zealand and Madagascar.

FORMOSA represent the most ancient voices of Taiwan. Inspired by the land, the ocean, and Indigenous cultures, the collection display the stories and memories of islands connected across thousands of years.

The ocean is where our story began.

These stories are translated into garments—fashion as a vessel for culture, memory, and resistance.

THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT OF LOVE｜愛的蝴蝶效應

In chaos theory, the butterfly effect describes how the smallest change within a complex system can trigger consequences far beyond its point of origin.

What if love could work the same way?

As fast fashion generates mounting textile waste, women around the world continue to face systemic barriers to economic independence. Story Wear sees these challenges as interconnected—and believes fashion can become part of the solution.

Building on six years of zero-waste fashion and women’s empowerment in Taiwan, this collection connects women makers across Taiwan, Nepal, and the Philippines, while proceeds support professional sewing training for women in Sierra Leone.

This is not charity.

It is about dignity, opportunity, and economic agency.

A discarded textile becomes a livelihood.

A stitch becomes an opportunity.
